General conditions of sale Senior Pass

This pass (hereafter the “Senior Pass”) is available for a fee. It is for personal use only, made out in the passholder’s name and non-transferable.   The Senior Pass is valid for one year starting from the day on which Air France activates it. The activation date will be shown on the pass. The customer must fill in an application form to create the pass.  The Senior Pass is available in digital form only. The passholder will receive a confirmation email once it has been activated.   The pass is available for booking made from metropolitan France and reserved for flyers aged 65 and over. Passholders can get discounts of up to 30 % (percentage calculated based on a Standard fare) on fares including tax (excluding applicable service charges), subject to fare availability, on all flights in metropolitan France operated by Air France (as well as flights operated by Air Corsica between Paris and Corsica on AF flight number) and on certain Air France medium-haul routes (Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, UK, Ireland, Russia, Armenia, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands (Amterdam only), Serbia, and Slovenia). The Senior Pass entitles the passholder to lower fees if they wish to change their ticket (free of charge) or get a refund (€20), and it also covers one item of hold luggage.  The discount offered with the Senior Pass cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or reduced fare.  The Senior Pass holder is entitled to these discounts provided they are able to show the pass (in digital or print format) at the airport during any stage of their journey, along with proof of identity (national ID card, passport, residence permit). Otherwise a price adjustment of €49 will be applied, corresponding to the price of the pass.  In any event, if the customer fails to show their Senior Pass at the boarding gate, they will not be allowed to board the flight unless they pay this amount (the price adjustment).  A customer who is not a Senior Passholder, but who pays the price adjustment, will then be able to redeem this credit on the airfrance.fr website by supplying a proof of identity, entitling them to a pass free of charge.  If the customer loses their Senior Pass confirmation email, they may inform us on +33 (0)9 69 39 36 54 (toll-free number), 7 days a week from 8 am to 10 pm. An electronic replacement pass can be sent to them within on average 24 hours. The replacement Senior Pass will automatically be valid for the same dates as the initial pass. In such an event, the passholder will be able to travel but might have to pay a price adjustment of €49 if identity checks are made at the airport. These fees can then be fully refunded by simply sending a request to Air France’s claims department with proof that the customer is a Senior Passholder.  The Senior Pass may be confiscated and cancelled immediately without a refund if it is used fraudulently, without prejudice to any legal action that Air France might take. In addition, a price adjustment corresponding to the difference between the fare paid by the customer and the fare that the customer should have paid without the discount will be applied. A customer who does not pay the price adjustment will not be allowed to board the flight.

When you book your Senior fare ticket, we will ask for your card number. This number is the one indicated on the Senior Pass you received by email. In the event that a Senior cardholder wishes to book a ticket for someone else (including for a child or baby), online booking is not possible. The customer must contact our team at +33 (0)9 69 39 36 54 (toll-free), 7 days a week, from 8 am to 10 pm. Issuing fees realted to the sale of tickets by phone apply.

The Pass is non-refundable. However, in compliance with current regulations, we remind you that you are entitled to a right of withdrawal if your pass was purchased remotely (online or by phone).

Your Senior Pass is eligible for the right of withdrawal if it was purchased remotely (online or by phone). Per applicable legal provisions, you have 14 calendar days from the date you receive your pass (corresponding to its issuance date) to exercise your right of withdrawal. This right can be exercised without providing a reason or incurring penalties, except for any applicable issuance fees. If you would like to exercise your right of withdrawal and have already purchased reduced-fare tickets (not yet used) with the pass, you must first cancel all relevant bookings, subject to the applicable cancelation conditions for the tickets. If you have already used a reduced-fare ticket purchased with the pass, using the ticket constitutes a waiver of your right of withdrawal. You can exercise your right of withdrawal by completingthe withdrawal request form.

The Senior Passholder may earn miles if they are also a member of the Flying Blue loyalty programme.  This loyalty programme enables the customer to earn miles and enjoy many other advantages.
